Parameter Estimation of Parallel Wiener-Hammerstein Systems by Decoupling their Volterra Representations

چکیده
Abstract Nonlinear dynamic systems are often approximated by a Volterra series, which is generalization of the Taylor series for with memory. However, lacks physical interpretation. To take advantage representation while aiming an interpretable block-oriented model, we establish link between and parallel Wiener-Hammerstein based on decoupling multivariate polynomials. The true through constrained model (block-)Toeplitz structure factors sets identical internal branches. solution modified problem then reveals directly parameters system. due to uniqueness properies plain algorithm, even if not imposed, method still leads (in exact case).

Parametric identification of parallel Wiener-Hammerstein systems
Block-oriented nonlinear models are popular in nonlinear modeling because of their advantages to be quite simple to understand and easy to use. To increase the flexibility of single branch block-oriented models, such as Hammerstein, Wiener, and WienerHammerstein models, parallel block-oriented models can be considered. This paper presents a method to identify parallel Wiener-Hammerstein systems...
متن کاملEstimation of Generalised Hammerstein-Wiener Systems ?
This paper examines the use of a so-called “generalised Hammerstein–Wiener” model structure that is formed as the concatenation of an arbitrary number of Hammerstein systems. The latter are taken here to be memoryless non-linearities followed by linear time invariant dynamics. Hammerstein, Wiener, Hammerstein–Wiener and Wiener–Hammerstein models are all special cases of this structure. The para...
متن کاملModeling Parallel Wiener-Hammerstein Systems Using Tensor Decomposition of Volterra Kernels
Providing flexibility and user-interpretability in nonlinear system identification can be achieved by means of block-oriented methods. One of such block-oriented system structures is the parallel WienerHammerstein system, which is a sum of Wiener-Hammerstein branches, consisting of static nonlinearities sandwiched between linear dynamical blocks. Parallel Wiener-Hammerstein models have more des...
متن کاملParameter Estimation of Switched Hammerstein Systems
This paper deals with the parameter estimation problem of the Single-Input-SingleOutput (SISO) switched Hammerstein system. Suppose that the switching law is arbitrary but can be observed online. All subsystems are parameterized and the Recursive Least Squares (RLS) algorithm is applied to estimate their parameters. To overcome the difficulty caused by coupling of data from different subsystems...
متن کاملAn Iterative Method for Wiener–hammerstein Systems Parameter Identification
The class of nonlinear dynamic systems which can be represented by the block-oriented models, ie, by interconnection of linear dynamic and nonlinear static subsystems, has been studied by many authors. In the simplest case the models consist of a combination of two blocks giving the so-called Hammerstein (nonlinear-linear) and Wiener (linear-nonlinear) models and there are many methods for nonl...
